First Ever CBW Community Program
Abeokuta, Ogun State – In a groundbreaking move to promote youth development and sports awareness, the Clear Blue Water Foundation is set to host its first-ever community program in Nigeria. The initiative will take place in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and is centered around creating awareness for basketball and supporting children in the region.
This maiden event marks a significant step in the foundation’s mission to empower communities through sports and education. With basketball as the focus, the program aims to introduce the game to young people in Abeokuta, highlighting the physical, mental, and social benefits of organized sports.
“Our goal is to inspire and uplift the children in Abeokuta by giving them exposure to basketball and helping them believe in their potential,” says director of the foundation Adebiyi Adekunle. “This is not just about sports — it’s about building confidence, teamwork, and community.”
Community Involvment is Key
The program will include basketball clinics, training sessions, motivational talks, and community engagement activities. Local coaches and volunteers will be on hand to guide participants, many of whom will be experiencing organized basketball for the first time.
